How to Install on WordPress (4 Simple Steps)

Follow this step-by-step tutorial to activate the connector on your WordPress website in under 3 minutes.

Download & Upload the Plugin Zip File

First, click the download button below to save the official plugin package to your computer:

Once downloaded, upload and activate it on your WordPress site:

Log in to your WordPress Admin Area.
Go to Plugins ➔ Add New ➔ Upload Plugin.
Select bmb-client-connector.php_.zip from your downloads folder.
Click Install Now, then click Activate Plugin.

Configure Settings in WordPress Admin

In your WordPress sidebar menu, navigate to Settings ➔ BookMoreBiz Sync and complete the following four fields:

Hub Directory URL	Set to BookMoreBiz main URL	`https://bookmorebiz.com`
Account Email	The email registered on BookMoreBiz	`yourname@domain.com`
API Secret Key	Master secret key provided by Admin	`YOUR_MASTER_SECRET_KEY`
Profile URL	Direct link to your Business Info tab	`https://bookmorebiz.com/members/yourbusiness/business-info/`

Check the box for “Verified Badge” to enable the floating trust badge, then click Save Changes.

Test Post & Quick Updates

You can sync content in two ways:

Standard Posts: Publish a new post under Posts ➔ Add New. It will format automatically with a bold title, excerpt dash separator, and backlink to your site.
Dashboard Quick Update: Go to your main WordPress Dashboard screen, find the “BookMoreBiz – Post Quick Update” widget, type a short message, and click Publish to BookMoreBiz Feed.

To cross-promote directory partner businesses and pass SEO link juice, add the shortcode anywhere on your website:

Verify that your BookMoreBiz Account Email matches your registered account email on bookmorebiz.com and that the API Secret Key entered matches the key set by the network administrator.

The profile URL option targets your business directory info tab (e.g., https://bookmorebiz.com/members/username/business-info/) so clicking your verified badge takes visitors straight to your business details.

❓ Does the connector slow down my website?

No. The plugin uses non-blocking asynchronous REST API calls with an 8-second execution timeout to ensure your website speed is never affected.
